We are a photography club for fellowship and pursuit of the art of photography for our members in Walnut Creek, CA Contra Costa County San Francisco Bay Area
Walnut Creek is the jewel of the East Bay and a paradise for aspiring photographers looking for interesting subject matter. Walnut Creek has a variety of interesting attractions for everyone and many of them are free. Others rely on small donations to help keep these one of a kind programs alive and well. Regardless if you like Portrait Photography, Wildlife Photography, or even Photojournalistic Candid work, this small community in the San Francisco Bay Area is for you. Here are three locations to try for some epic photos.
Lindsay Wildlife Museum 1931 1st Ave, Walnut Creek, CA 94597-2540 - This is a one of a kind wildlife museum with many of the birds of prey outside of their cages and handled by the staff. I 'can't think of any other place where you can get so close and photograph these beautiful birds.
Lesher Center For the Arts - 1601 Civic Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94596-4299 - This is an actors paradise and the Lesher center is known for their theatrical productions. The cast can always benefit from well done Theatrical Headshots.
Ruth Bancroft Garden - 1552 Bancroft Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598-2361 - If you are more of a macro photography buff who enjoys rare plants we highly recommend a tour of the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Admission is $10 but well worth it due to the diversity of plants and wide ranging area the garden covers.
